Sydney Canoe Polo Club collects information necessary to provide our services, including:
- Contact information (name, email, phone number)
- Emergency contact details
- Medical information relevant to water sports participation
- Membership and payment details
- Photos and videos from club events (with consent)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process membership registrations
- Communicate about training sessions and events
- Ensure participant safety during activities
- Comply with Paddle Australia and Paddle NSW requirements
- Send club newsletters and updates (with your consent)
3. Information Sharing
We share necessary information with Paddle Australia and Paddle NSW as part of your membership registration. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Card and buy now, pay later payments go through Stripe. When an event page offers Stripe, it loads Stripe.js to show the available payment plans. Stripe then receives your IP address and details of how you use the page, and may set cookies, to provide its service and prevent fraud. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Event pages can show a venue map from Google Maps. The map loads only when you select "Show map". Google then receives your IP address and may set cookies under the Google Privacy Policy.
If you tick "Send me WhatsApp updates about this booking" when you book, we send WhatsApp messages about that booking to the mobile number you give. WhatsApp, which Meta runs, carries these messages. We never show your number to coaches or other athletes. You still get every email.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us at info@sydneycanoepolo.com to exercise these rights.
6. Event registrations
When a team registers for an event, the club collects each athlete's Paddle Australia number, name, and phone number.
- A team manager can save a team to their account only after the team manager confirms that the athletes gave permission.
- The club deletes saved teams that nobody used for two years.
- An athlete can ask us to remove their saved details. Email info@sydneycanoepolo.com.
